DAVID SIMONEAUX
David Simoneaux has been a relentless force in coaching football since 2004, starting his journey as an assistant coach at Parkview Baptist, where he served until 2009. From 2010 to 2014, he joined Central High School as an assistant coach, laying down the foundation for what would become his dynamic career.
After leaving Central, David took his talents to Catholic High Pointe Coupee from 2015-2020, where he made a significant impact before becoming the head coach at Catholic High Baton Rouge in 2021. He led the program there until 2022, shaping athletes and building a culture of excellence.
In 2023, David returned to Central High School as head coach, bringing with him a vision to not just win games but to "slay giants, crush milestones, and change lives."

David is also the driving force behind the "Close the Gates" Initiative, a program designed to strengthen the Central community and keep its youth committed to becoming Wildcats. His mission is simple: build a better product, remain entitled to nothing, and be willing to do anything to achieve success. He is passionate about molding young athletes into strong, disciplined individuals who are ready for life’s challenges both on and off the field.

Off the field, David has been married to his wife, Blair, since May 2015. Together, they have four children: Allie Jewell (8), Beau (6), Gabe (5), and Leo (4). When he’s not coaching or inspiring his team, David spends his time at home tackling renovations and working outdoors.
For him, family is everything, and spending quality time with Blair and their kids is his top priority. He embodies the balance of hard work and family devotion, both as a coach and as a father.
